Xinwei Yu is currently a Ph.D. student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He began his academic journey in Mechanical Engineering, earning his bachelor's and master's degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Xinwei’s primary research focuses on integrating robotic automation and manipulation into complex and hazardous construction environments. Outside of research, he enjoys working out, photography, and exploring novel robotic designs.
